The recently launched right Waste, right Place information campaign has been put together by a group of sponsors to help small businesses and establishments meet their Duty of Care obligations as practically as possible. The campaign is managed by the Environmental Services Association and sponsored by the Environment Agency, CIWM and ESAET.

The campaign website includes videos, case studies, a simple guide on how to comply, a detailed Q&A and lots of useful links to get answers for more specific or detailed questions relating to Duty of Care. The website can be reached at the following link: www.rightwasterightplace.com

Campaign manager Sam Corp of the ESA said:

“Very few organisations want to actively flout the law, but most are simply not informed about what they have to do. Unfortunately being uninformed is no protection from the law, and we believe that more companies will find themselves exposed to prosecution unless they take the right steps to comply. The right Waste, right Place website will help businesses to realise and practically address their obligations under law, so that they can become compliant and keep waste out of the hands of criminals.”
